'CV' Campus Village Garage Permits
Residents of Campus Village should reach out to University Housing Services to purchase a Campus Village Garage permit. Campus Village parking permits are valid only in the Campus Village garage (underground parking below Campus Village) all day and from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. at the Park & Ride Lot. Campus Village Permits are NOT VALID in the South, West or North garages. Campus Village residents are subject to all SJSU parking regulations.
Student Housing Virtual Permits
As an alternative, Housing students may choose to purchase 'H' (Housing) virtual permits from Parking Services. 'H' (Housing) virtual permits are valid in general parking areas in the South, West or North parking garages. Note: If you are an on-campus housing resident, do NOT purchase a 'S' student commuter or 'SCF' South Campus commuter virtual parking permit as they are not valid for overnight parking.

The cost of student parking permits will increase beginning July 1, 2026, due to approved rate changes.
Student Housing Virtual Permit descriptions, pricing, and sales locations are listed below. Please read the student housing parking/permit guidelines below.
Student Housing Parking General Guidelines
- The parking permits sold through the SJSU Parking Online Services, ParkMobile App, or Digital Paystations are virtual permits based on the vehicle license plate. Customers will NOT receive a physical permit.
- The license plate(s) registered when purchasing your parking session will become your virtual parking permit. You may register up to three vehicles under a single SJSU parking account. Only one vehicle may park on Campus at a time. If you need to have more than one vehicle on Campus at a time, the second vehicle must be registered and paid under a separate permit or day pass. If more than one vehicle found on campus without the purchase of additional permit, both vehicles will be cited for Misuse of Parking Permit. Log in to your parking account via SJSU Parking Online Services to change vehicle information when driving a different vehicle.
- Be aware of the effective and expiration dates of all decal and virtual permits to avoid being cited for parking without a valid permit. Hourly and daily permits may be purchased from ParkMobile App or paystations when parking at all other times.
Student Housing Permit Guidelines
- Ownership of a permit is not transferable from person to person.
- Vehicles with ‘H’ housing virtual permits may park anytime above section 2-K in the South (7th Street) Garage, one half of the 3rd floor and above in the North (10th Street) Garage in any spaces not marked for other purposes, one half of the 1st floor and above in the West (4th Street) Garage in any spaces not marked for other purposes, and from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. at the Park & Ride Lot. Please note: Vehicles with 'H' housing virtual permits may not park overnight at the South Campus Garage or at the Park & Ride Lot. Also, 'H' housing virtual permits are not valid during event at the South Campus.
- Vehicles with 'H' housing virtual permits may park on the upper half of the roof of the South (7th Street) Garage between 7 a.m. - 12 p.m., Monday - Thursday. The area is designated for employee, carpool, and housing (overnight) parking during these times.
- 'H' housing virtual permits are not valid in Campus Village Garage.

Students may park and purchase virtual single overnight parking permit through ParkMobile App or self-service Permit Paystations. We recommend downloading the ParkMobile app before
arriving at SJSU for faster, safer, and more convenient parking payments. For more
